The application of the xPhoton has been very useful, where WiFi is available of course. The challenge is to provide connectivity to remote areas where WiFi is not available and xFarm Tech adopted the use of the Particle Electron, a 3G connected IoT device. Though the overhead of a 3G enabled data SIM card cost sits on top, the solution is still viable where areas to introduce WiFi is less feasible. The xElectron makes use of a bosch BME680 for environment monitoring and a set of Gravity DFRobot sensors for Water Temperature, Ph, Electrical Conductivity, Total Dissolved Solids, Soil Moisture, and Ambient Light
